No criminal case for sunbathing death

Waterville, OH - An Ohio investigator found no proof of criminal neglect of a woman with multiple sclerosis who died after being left out in the sun at her nursing home.
The Toledo Blade reported the investigator for the state Attorney General said aides at Heartland of Waterville left Patricia Matney on a patio without checking on her for more than an hour June 26. The nursing home had no directives on sunbathing and there was nothing in her patient records to show that being left out in the sun could be risky.
