Care home worker sentenced for abuse; Middletown man apologizes for punching resident in face

Lincoln, IL – Donald Francis, 40, of Middletown pleaded guilty in April to abusing a long-term care facility resident, a Class III felony. Francis was employed in February 2004 as a certified nurse’s assistant at Maple Ridge Care Centre, 2202 N. Kickapoo St., when he punched a 68-year-old resident in the face.
