Official, four workers could face charges in nursing home sex case

Santa Cruz, CA - The administrator and four employees of a Santa Cruz nursing home could face criminal charges for failing to report allegations of sexual abuse of a patient, Santa Cruz County District Attorney Bob Lee said Tuesday. The nurse accused of the abuse could also face charges of exposing himself.
The nursing home, Pleasant Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, was cited and fined $1,000 by the state Department of Health Services last month over the incident — one of five citations since 2001 for failure to report violence or abuse.
