Four officials quit amid veterans home violations; Health Department order cites 28 deficiencies in late July

Minneapolis, MN – Four Minneapolis Veterans Home administrators resigned this week after receiving an order from the state Health Department to correct 28 deficiencies in nursing home care.

The remaining staff has roughly one week left to fix most of the problems. The violations generally involved poor supervision or care of patients and often mentioned a lack of staffing.

All of the deficiencies were from a scheduled survey of the 418-bed facility in late July and were outlined in a 42-page correction order dated this Monday and released Thursday by the state.
