Settlement Reached With Burlingame Nursing Home

Sacramento, CA - California Attorney General Bill Lockyer Wednesday announced a $2.5 million settlement with a company that operates 18 nursing homes in the state.
The agreement with Sun Healthcare Group stems from an October 2001 prosecution of the company for elder abuse stemming from the care given to elderly residents at a facility in Burlingame during a June 2000 heat wave. The company has since sold that facility.
