Nursing Home Business Appeals Fines

OK – The proposed fines against Oklahoma Nursing Homes Ltd. of Sallisaw are being appealed and the more than $400,000 in fines remain in dispute.

A year ago, the state health department announced it was seeking the fines against a Hominy nursing home owned by the Sallisaw company where investigators found abuse and neglect. The home was closed, and its residents moved, but the fines remain uncollected and in litigation.
