Nursing Home Abuse Allegations

Irvine, KY - Attorney General Greg Stumbo announced the indictment of two nursing assistants for multiple counts of abuse at Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control Division say the two nursing assistants, 27-year-old Lisa Kilburn and 30-year-old Kim Congleton abused elderly and medically fragile patients by administering laxative suppositories that weren’t part of prescribed treatment.

The investigation found that many patients suffered pain and bleeding and the actions were meant to harass the next shift of nursing assistants.
