Caretaker abuse charged by patients at center

Norman, OK - A former caretaker at the Noble Health Care Center has been charged in Cleveland County with abusing two patients, one a 103-year-old woman.
Lynn H. Smith, 27, of Noble faces two felony counts of caretaker abuse and a count of verbal abuse filed Friday in Cleveland County District Court by the state attorney general’s office.
The charges were filed after a state Medicaid fraud investigator looked into claims of abuse at the center, which is a residential facility for people who need daily assistance.
