Aide Charged With Dripping Urine On Nursing Home Resident

Saturday, January 21st, 2006.

Wheaton, IL - In a disturbing account of alleged abuse of a nursing home resident, a nursing assistant at the Elmhurst Extended Care Center in Chicago has been charged with dripping urine on the face of an 83-year-old man and then throwing a dirty diaper at his head when he asked for help.

Jamika Rush, 24, has been charged with felony abuse and faces up to five years in prison. She is free on $1,000 bail and will reappear in court Feb. 27.
