Aledo nursing home challenges state fine

Aledo, IL – A hearing is taking place this week as the Mercer County Nursing Home challenges a $5,000 fine from the state. The penalty was announced in November by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The 95-bed skilled care facility in Aledo was cited for failing to provide adequate supervision to prevent a resident from leaving the facility unnoticed in October. The nursing home is contesting the fine.
