Nursing Home Lawsuit Will Go to Trial

A judge has decided the lawsuit accusing a Greene County nursing home of neglect will move forward.
Charlottesville, VA - The Virginia Department Office of Advocacy and Protection sued Evergreene Nursing home last year for allegedly neglecting its patients and now they want the facility to step up its guidelines.
In court Friday, Vopa’s attorneys cited at least 84 cases of abuse between 2004 and 2005. The lawsuit claims in one incident employees failed to give CPR to a patient because they were sleeping on the job. That patient later died.
