Fakes back in court in abuse case

Lebanon, PA – A couple accused of abusing residents in their personal-care homes were in court yesterday….
Tina Fake, 41; her husband, Clifford, 46; and two others were arrested March 15, 2005, and charged with beating and mistreating Jeffrey Sees, a Lebanon VA Medical Center outpatient who lived at their Reaching Out Personal Care Home, 700 N. Railroad St., Palmyra, according to law-enforcement officials. Also charged were Tina Fake’s son, Kyle Leeper, 22, and Patricia Remlinger, 39, both of Palmyra.
Additional charges were filed against the Fakes in May. They were accused of neglecting or abusing 24 residents of their Railroad Street personal-care home and at four other homes they operated in Palmyra and North Londonderry Township between May 2000 and March 15, 2005. Three people died while in the Fakes’ care, authorities said.
