Former nursing home director’s license suspended

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006.

A state panel suspended the nursing license of a woman charged with neglecting a nursing home resident who was allegedly allowed to lay in his own waste for days.

Zanna Paul, the former director of Nursing at Northgate Healthcare Center, was indicted for mistreating a 62-year-old man, who also was found with back sores and maggot-covered clothing, officials allege.

The Indiana State Board of Nursing last week suspended her license pending the outcome of the case.
