Accusations of Patient Abuse at Local Nursing Home

Wilmington, NC – There is a warrant out for the arrest of a Wilmington nursing home worker accused of abusing an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s disease.
The woman worked at the Oakdale Heights Senior Living Center on 17th Street.
In mid-June, co-workers told administrators they saw her hit a 90-year-old woman over the head three times.
The certified nursing assistant was fired. Detectives say they plan to charge her with patient abuse and neglect.
