Nurse Charged In Edwardsville Nursing Home Patient’s Death
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006.
Edwardsville, IL – Blanche Rexing, 86, died August 27, 2005, of an apparent overdose of a painkiller. A year after her death, the nurse who delivered the medication has been charged with criminal neglect.
A coroner’s inquest initially ruled the death was accidental, but the case was reviewed by the elder abuse committees of the Illinois State Police and the Madison County State’s Attorney.
