Fort Payne, AL – A DeKalb County grand jury has returned indictments against two local nurses in connection with the 2005 death of a patient at Collinsville nursing home.
Last week, the grand jury returned a manslaughter indictment against Cornelia Ledbett Morrison, 59, of 170 Dalton Street in Rainsville.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department subsequently arrested Morrison. She is now out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
Morrison is one of two nurses previously employed by Collinsville Nursing Home charged with dispensing the wrong medication to 72-year-old Cora Louise Gregory in August 2005, resulting in Gregory’s death, authorities say.
