Hospital, nursing home abused ex-cop, suit sez

New York, NY - A retired NYPD detective died three years ago today after months of persistent bed sores and infections - and a lawsuit blames elder abuse and neglect at the hands of a Brooklyn nursing home and hospital.
Abraham Ticknor was 87 when he died at Maimonides Medical Center after a series of hospitalizations for large ulcers that covered his body.
