Haverstraw, NY - Former Northern Riverview Nursing Home certified nurse aide Yolette Joseph has pleaded guilty in the Village of Haverstraw Justice Court to violating the Public Health Laws in connection with her abuse of an elderly patient. Joseph faces up to one year in jail when sentenced in March.

Joseph, 49, of Spring Valley, NY, admitted that on July 20, 2006, she was arguing with a 69-year-old wheelchair-bound patient, who suffered from dementia, while she and another CNA were placing him in bed.
