Lawsuit accuses nursing home of neglect: woman fell several times and suffered a broken hip, a relative says

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007.

Riverside, CA - The granddaughter of a former Riverside nursing-home resident has sued the nursing-home owners, claiming her grandmother repeatedly was neglected and abused.

Gegett A. Mike, of Montclair, said in the suit that staff at Pleasant Care Convalescent of Riverside, on Lakeview Avenue, allowed her grandmother, Ida Mae Davis, to fall at least eight times, beginning in 2003, until she was hospitalized with a broken hip Feb. 28, 2006. The lawsuit was filed last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
