Nursing Home Violations

Carterville, IL - Three nursing homes in southern Illinois are facing some serious violations from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The Illinois Veteran’s Home in Anna is fined $5,000 after accusations it allowed a resident to leave the facility. In Harrisburg, the Turner Manor was fined $30,000 after an investigation determined it failed to implement policies to prevent abuse, after two reports of resident abuse.
The Illinois department of public health says both the violations could lead to death or harm.
