Abuse alleged at nursing home

Georgetown, SC – Georgetown police are investigating another case of reported patient abuse at a local nursing home.

On Friday, officers responded to Georgetown Healthcare and Rehab at 2715 South Island Road and met with the director and a representative from the S.C. Department of Social Services. They said the patient — who, according to the report, is 55-60 years old — said he was choked by a nurse’s aide.
