Ellis County indicts Putman; Blooming Grove resident charged with Medicaid fraud

Waxahachie, TX - An Ellis County grand jury indicted a Waxahachie nursing home office manager for stealing money from more than 100 nursing home residents. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, which investigated the case, is jointly prosecuting with the Ellis County District Attorney’s office.

“Texans will not tolerate criminals who exploit senior citizens,” said Attorney General Abbott in a press release issued Friday. “Our Medicaid Fraud Control Unit will continue cracking down on nursing homes and their employees who take advantage of their residents. The elderly must be treated with dignity and protected from harm.”
