Family of nursing home patient starts lawsuit over alleged attack

Glens Falls, NY – The family of a resident of Pleasant Valley nursing home who was allegedly abused by an employee of the home has filed a notice of claim against Washington County accusing the county of negligence in hiring, training and supervision of the employee.

Neither nursing home resident Fabian Vega nor his family stands to gain a penny from the litigation, though. Because Vega is on Medicare, any money he was awarded would go to the government to repay the Medicare tab.
