Nursing home cleared of one complaint

Georgetown, SC – Georgetown police have determined there is no evidence to support one of the recent complaints filed against Georgetown Healthcare and Rehab in Maryville.
In March, police were called to the facility at 2715 South Island Road because a resident, a 55-60 year old man, claimed to have been choked by a nurse.
He said it happened in December and he waited so long to report it because he was “in fear of possible retribution.”
