Litchfield Nursing Centre residents, staff try to cope with state–mandated closing

Saturday, April 28th, 2007.

Hillsdale, MI - Residents and staff of the Litchfield Nursing Centre are finding it hard to adjust to the state–mandated closing of the facility after an inspector issued 29 citations, including charges of abuse.

The facility was given notice March 30 to close in 30 days. According to T.J. Bucholz of the Michigan Department of Community Health, the nursing home “has had significant issues over the last three years.”
