Pierce County nursing home accused of abuse, neglect

McKenna, WA - A Pierce County nursing home is under fire after a patient died from an overdose of morphine.

Seventy-nine-year-old Florence Pierpoint was diagnosed with lung cancer, but that’s not what killed her.

According to a Pierce County medical examiner, she died from acute morphine poisoning administered by health care providers at Nisqually Valley Care Center in November 2004.

This article states what happened to my mother. I am glad there is a lawyer who will fight for what is right.
