Ottawa, IL - The La Salle County Nursing Home has been fined $15,000 for failure to recognize the abuse of a resident.
The fine stems from a 2006 incident in which two nurses held down a resident and forced medical treatment, according to an Illinois Department of Public Health press release issued Monday.
IDPH said a type “A” violation of the Nursing Home Care Act took place, which is the most serious licensure condition in which there is a substantial probability that death or serious mental or physical harm will result.
