Nursing facility cited for care flaws: Mount Carmel accused of neglecting patients’ pain, bathroom needs

Milwaukee, WI - The largest private nursing home in Wisconsin was cited for substandard care after an 88-year-old man moaned and cried in pain for hours and was ignored after repeatedly asking to lie down, a recently released state inspection report shows.
“I hurt all over,” the man told state inspectors, his eyes red and filled with tears, as they observed the care being provided at Mount Carmel Nursing Home in Greenfield last month.
