Nurses vindicated, acquitted in trial

Hillsdale, MI - Acquitted — a sweet word coming to the ears of two former nurses charged with abuse and failure to report neglect at the former Litchfield Nursing Centre.

The center has since closed, following a state investigation and logging of 21 deficiencies.

On Friday morning, following a one–and–a–half day trial, Judge Donald L. Sanderson dismissed charges brought against Laura L. Tackett, 46, of Homer, and Mary E. Tamlyn, 50, of Houghton Lake.
