Local Nursing Home Closes In Wake Of Sex Assault Investigation

Moundsville, WV - A local nursing home at the center of a sexual assault investigation has closed, even though the state did not require it.
Just one resident remained at the of Dora Allietta Memorial Home on Thursday, officials said. The remaining residents were removed from the nursing home’s care by family members after the allegations surfaced.
Adult Protective Services launched an investigation after police received a report of a sexual assault at the home over the weekend. The alleged victim is a 57-year-old woman with the mental capacity of a child, police said.
