Knoxville Nurse Indicted for Abuse, Assault

Thursday, October 11th, 2007.

Knoxville, TN – A former Knoxville nurse has been indicted by a Knox County Grand Jury for Willful Abuse of an Adult and Simple Assault.

Frances Jo Fox, 41, Powell worked at the NHC Nursing Home in Downtown Knoxville.

An investigation by the TBI’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit recently discovered that last November, she physically assaulted an 81 year old dementia patient who was confined to a wheelchair.
