Nursing homes sued in connection with man’s death

Pikeville, KY - For the second time in less than one month, a Pike County nursing home is facing wrongful death allegations.
The allegations are piled up on the Pike County circuit clerk docket alongside six other wrongful death or personal injury claims against the Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and its affiliate companies.
Elvie Slone, on behalf of the estate of her father, John “Sweetie” Young Jr., sued Parkview, administrator Angela Owens, the nursing home’s affiliate companies and the Phelps-based Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center, its affiliate companies and administrator Priscilla Hager.
