Nursing Home Worker Kills Self After Being Charged with Rape of Alzheimer’s Patient; Family Suing Village Creek Nursing Home

Fort Worth, TX - A state investigation revealed a laundry worker was caught raping an Alzheimer’s patient at the Village Creek Nursing Home in Fort Worth.
Charles Schealy, 67, told police the sex was consensual. However, he was arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault in June. He was immediately fired from the facility. On November 16, police say Shealey committed suicide….
The family of the 65-year-old woman filed a lawsuit against the nursing home Monday. It claims the home was responsible for the assault by failing to send the worker to any job training.
