3 face drug abuse charges

Barre, VT – A Barre woman, 31-year-old Amber Maloney, pleaded innocent in Vermont District Court Thursday to stealing narcotic Fentanyl patches off her elderly patients at the Rowan Court Nursing Home, where she has worked for the past seven years as a licensed nursing assistant.
Investigators said Maloney stole five patches off her elderly charges and a box containing five more patches containing Fentanyl, a regulated narcotic pain reliever.
