Protecting the Elderly

Sandusky, OH – The case of the nurse who reportedly admits to having abused nearly 100 nursing-home patients since the 1980s is the nightmare dreaded by every family with loved ones in a care facility.
Those patients, usually elderly, are among the most defenseless citizens and deserve protection from abuse, a fact recognized by the states of Ohio and Michigan, both of which require workers with access to nursing home residents to undergo a criminal background check.
