Helia says it is making progress

Springfield, IL – Fewer than four weeks before a Springfield nursing home is scheduled to be cut off from its biggest payment source, the home’s operator said the facility will survive and is making “great progress.”
The home, which is disputing more than $45,000 in state and federal fines connected with health-care quality violations, has been barred from receiving Medicaid and Medicare for residents admitted after Oct. 23.
