Arraignment set for Brockton elderly abuse suspect

Brockton, MA - The local man accused of sexually assaulting an elderly nursing home patient in 2006 will be arraigned Tuesday in superior court. Steven Laroche, 68, was indicted last week on a charge of indecent assault and battery on an elderly person.
Laroche, 68, is a former certified nurse assistant at St. Joseph’s Manor Nursing Home, where the reported assault occurred in late January 2006, according to reports filed with the state Department of Public Health and investigated by the state attorney general’s office.
