Fort Myers, FL - Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration regulates nursing homes and rates them according to how well they perform against other homes in their geographic area.

Lee is part of an area that spans seven counties, from Sarasota to Collier and includes 67 nursing homes.

Of the 18 homes in Lee, 12 of them earned the best rating for abuse and use of restraints -the state ratings combine those two measures. Five others scored a 1 - the worst rating - and one home earned a 2.
