Man accused of sexually abusing elderly; Residents alerted staff about stranger in building

Lafayette, LA - A Breaux Bridge man has been arrested on sexual abuse and battery charges following alleged incidents at two Lafayette elder-care facilities.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Roy Bodoin, 55, on Thursday after receiving reports from the Amelia Manor Nursing Home on Center Street and the St. Gertude Manor apartments on Webb Street on Monday.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bodoin allegedly went into both facilities Monday and told staff members that he was there to visit a friend. Bodoin then allegedly went into several rooms and had "inappropriate contact" with female residents.
