Financial Abuse Alleged at Nursing Home

Cincinnati, OH – The clients at Westside Health Care Nursing Home, and also at the Terrace Assisted Living Facility are generally people who need a lot of help.

Janet Pecquet, Residents’ Attorney: "They are of limited capacity and unable to protect themselves fully. Some are more able than others, but for the most part, they are vulnerable adults who need protection from exploitation and abuse."

According to documents obtained by Local 12, investigators say when clients come into the facility, Owner-Administrator Abe Fischer takes charge of their finances, in some cases without their permission. A current lawsuit, filed by two residents, alleges Abe Fischer uses his capacity as administrator to "intimidate and bully residents."
