Volunteer ombudsmen make life easier for nursing home residents

Plano, TX – The residents at Victoria Gardens of Frisco look forward to each visit from their ombudsman, who stops by to listen to their concerns and help them deal with minor issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.
The ombudsman is a paid staff member with the North Texas Council of Government’s Ombudsman Program, but the agency is looking for other people to volunteer a few hours a week to brighten the lives of residents at nursing homes in Collin County.
