Nursing home thief gets 3 years

Montgomery, AL – A Montgomery woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for stealing $97,036 over a two-year period from the South Haven Manor Nursing Home where she worked as an accounts payable clerk…
In a news release Friday, Attorney General Troy King said Friday that Anne Marie Jones’ sentence sends a strong message to those who would steal from seniors.
"Our parents and grandparents were strong for us and protected us when we needed it, and now that they are older and need our care," he said. "We must defend them from exploitation and abuse."
