St. Maries, ID - A jury has awarded $18 million in punitive damages to relatives of an 86-year-old man who sued the nursing home where he died in 1995, claiming he had been abused and overly medicated.

GOODING, ID -- The Gooding Rehab and Living Center received a $35,500 federal fine for incidents of staff abuse of residents, failure of management to investigate that abuse and for cases of residents with pressure sores, according to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare's Bureau of Facility Standards.
