Did hospital follow rules? Sources say nursing home managers favored aide, failed to follow procedure
Jackson Hole, WY - St. John’s Living Center managers were aware of complaints that an employee was having inappropriate contact with at least two patients, but overlooked the incidents because he was a favorite staff member, sources said last week. Three new sources came forward after an April 19 story in the News&Guide reported that Jackson police and St. John’s Medical Center officials are conducting investigations into the male aide and potential criminal behavior. The investigators are looking into the aide’s alleged misconduct with at least two nursing home residents that occurred during the last two years. The sources who came forward last week said that although employees reported incidents, St. John’s Living Center’s protocol was not followed in either case.
